Microsoft just unveiled its To-Do Preview, whose early version of a new task management app that works across a wide variety of platforms, including Windows 10, iOS, and Android. You can share your to-do list with your friends like in Wunderlist.
Wunderlist, for those needing a refresher, is the to-do app that Microsoft bought when it acquired 6Wunderkinder in June 2015.
The Redmond firm is encouraging users to test this new solution out and offer suggestions, ask questions and engage with the support team over on the Microsoft Authenticator forum. The downside for those who don't like working with Microsoft's software is that it will now be a part of Office 365 with a lot of Outlook integrations. However, you can also tap on the light bulb icon to show tasks left undone, as well as suggestions on what has yet to be done. Your Outlook Tasks will sync with To-Do, so you can access and manage them across your devices. Microsoft's new To-Do app is available to try on iPhone now, and preview versions for iPad and Mac will soon follow.
Called Microsoft To-Do, the new app might have an uninspired name, but it's been completely reimagined. You can download the preview app right now and explore the features. Microsoft clarified that the To-Do list application can be used for those with Microsoft accounts and not only those with a Office 365 subscription. The new app was built by the team behind Wunderlist, and will bring in the favorite elements of that app in the months ahead, Microsoft says. Microsoft, on April 19, 2017, announced their Microsoft To-Do. He also promises it will deliver "a smarter, more personal and intuitive way to help people stay organised and get the most out of every day".
The company says there is a link at the bottom of the confirmation page that allows users to use passwords if they prefer.
"Microsoft To-Do is a simple to-do list app that intelligently takes the stress out of planning your day".
The company notes that Wunderlist users don't have to make the switch to To-Do yet, but they have created an importer if users are interested in migrating.
