Soules, who starred in "The Bachelor" and "Dancing with the Stars", has been released on bond pending trial.
According to a press release from the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office, Soules was arrested and charged with "leaving the scene of a fatality motor vehicle accident (a class D felony)". The Iowa State Patrol crash report claims that Soules was driving a Chevy pickup truck when he allegedly rear-ended a John Deere tractor trailer.

A rep for Soules said the farmer was "devastated" to learn of Mosher's death, while Whitney Bischoff, his former fiancée that he met on "The Bachelor" told People, "This is a very sad situation". The driver of the tractor died in the crash.
It has barely been 24 hours since Chris Soules was arrested for leaving the scene of a deadly accident, but there have already been so many updates, it's making our heads spin. In addition, Mosher was also a family oriented man, with his wife Nancy, two sons and three grandchildren. Soules then asks those at the crash site to help before the operator offers to talk him through it.
"I rear-ended a guy on a tractor", Soules, 35, told the 911 dispatcher. "His thoughts and prayers and with Mr. Mosher's family". Soules made a social media post Monday, just a couple hours before the crash, showing him working in a farm field.
His next court date is set for Tuesday, May 2.
Soules has a history of alcohol-related traffic incidents, including a 2006 charge for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
While several of Soules' violations were speeding tickets, a few have involved illegal drinking and reckless driving. At the time of Monday's crash, he was in possession of alcoholic beverage containers, according to court documents obtained by the Daily News.
