The game world for Call of Duty: WWII has reportedly been set in the time frame between 1944 and 1945.

In the big reveal, we get a taste for the horrific nightmare that was fighting in World War II - storming the beaches at Normandy on D-Day and pushing through Western Europe (to name a couple examples). United Offensive was actually the first game released in the series, and it only came out for PC when it was released in 2004. And it includes the Battle of the Bulge in Ardennes. We'll have to wait for even more information from Sledgehammer to know what's up. This, in the particular, will let players experience the infamous chaos that wrapped World War 2.
Call of Duty's latest title has been unveiled alongside a new trailer teasing the new single-player campaign.
It sounds much like Operations in Battlefield 1 where a story drives the objectives, and lasts much longer than a standard multiplayer match.
The developer went onto say that the Zombies game mode is "an entirely new story and a pretty horrifying experience", and it will be telling the "the story of the Third Reich's desperate attempt to create an army in the final stages of the war".
