DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince have announced reunion shows

After teasing fans about a possible world tour in 2015, Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff are now planning to reunite for a two-night special event in Europe this August.

Sinitta, The Jacksons and Jason Donovan are also performing. Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff will appear alongside fellow headliners The Jacksons and The Hit Factory, who will headline the Friday and Saturday nights respectively.

Smith and his longtime musical partner will top the bill at the festival, which will be held at the Blackpool Headland Arena from 25 August to August 27. "It's the best location in the United Kingdom for entertainment".

The duo became hip hop stars after the release of their 1989 Grammy-winning single Parents Just Don't Understand, before going on to score hits with Summertime and Boom!

The hip hop duo are scheduled to headline Livewire Festival in the United Kingdom, which runs August 25th to 27th, before heading over to mainland Europe to appear at MTV Summerblast in Croatia, which runs August 25th to 26th.

The comeback announcement comes days after Smith was tipped to play the Genie in Disney's live-action remake of 1992 animated classic Aladdin. Hopefully these two festivals are mere warm-ups for an Australian tour at the end of the year. "Wishing that James Avery was still with us to make this complete".

Tickets for Livewire Festival go on sale at 10am on Tuesday 25 April.
