On the camera front, the OnePlus smartphone is expected to flaunt a 23-megapixel dual-lens camera with optical image stabilization and a 16MP front camera. Some reports are claiming it will be embedded into the screen, although we'll have to wait and see whether this rumour comes to fruition.
The report states the OnePlus 5 will sport the trailblazing Snapdragon 835 which concurs to previous rumors.
Other than these, the OnePlus 5 is expected to keep the same 5.5-inch display screen, but don't be surprised if the resolution stays at 1080p for the base model of 6GB/128GB and probably QHD for the 8GB/256GB variant. This is the reason that after releasing OnePlus 3, the smartphone maker has chose to skip OnePlus 4 and moved on to OnePlus 5. However, RAM size has heavily been debated.
As for storage, Kumamoto Technology says that it will have 128GB of storage. It's likely that demand for the OnePlus 5 will be high when it finally hits shelves. The leaker added that a 258GB isn't out of the question, and that it might be for the 8GB RAM version of the OnePlus 5. The source also says that dual camera is pretty much confirmed, but it won't be arranged as the renders have you believe. And lastly, there are some chances that the OnePlus 5 may not feature the headphone jack.
The OnePlus 5's specs are still unconfirmed. Therefore, it shouldn't have to be a surprise to see that the company or even the CEO is posting a teaser regarding the upcoming flagship on its Weibo account. However, an official announcement doesn't seem too far off. Previous OnePlus phones have been launched in June, so that's our best guess right now. The same day, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau posted a picture on his Weibo page, which suggested that the company is working on something big.
