Sydney Leathers celebrates Anthony Weiner's guilty plea

"I hope he goes to jail", Leathers told Inside Edition Friday, after the disgraced former congressman pleaded guilty to sexting with a minor.

Weiner, 52, of New York, New York, has pled guilty to one count of transferring obscenity to a minor, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

According to the terms of his plea deal. He said he continues to follow the treatment daily. "I appreciate your service". He said nothing to reporters.

Huma Abedin is.not quite a free woman, but she's close!

The case came to the attention of the Federal Bureau of Investigation last year when the 15-year-old girl in North Carolina told the Daily Mail about her online communications with Weiner.

Abedin, Hillary Clinton's former top aide during her campaign, is asking for the court to seal the case. Phone messages left Friday with the North Carolina girl's father were not immediately returned.

As part of the plea agreement, Weiner will register as a sex offender and will also have to forfeit his iPhone, surrender his passport and continue mental health treatment.

"He apologized, offered no excuses, and made a commitment to make amends", Devlin-Brown said in a statement. He added that Weiner remains "focused on his recovery". The US attorney's office in Manhattan confirmed the court appearance but declined to release additional details about the charges against the Democrat.

It's all awful and now criminal and even worse because it was during a federal investigation into this latest episode that Weiner's electronic devices were seized and eventually discovered to have emails on them that reopened the investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server.

That inquiry was brief.

Weiner, who represented NY in Congress from 1999 to 2011, resigned after revelations that he was sending sexually explicit messages to multiple women. But Clinton partly blamed her loss to Republican Donald Trump on Comey's announcement.

He ran for New York City mayor in 2013 and was leading several polls until it was revealed he had continued his questionable behavior. The failed mayoral bid is the subject of the documentary Weiner.
