Battlefield 1 The next DLC pack for Battlefield 1 is titled In The Name of the Tsar. We don't know anything about Anthem yet other than its name, but EA says that we'll see gameplay for the first time at Microsoft's press event.
Federation Internationale de Football Association 18 was also shown off. There also seems to be a story mode that will be called Longshot.
Something interesting and new in Need For Speed: Payback is that during the story mode, the game will switch players into one of the three protagonists. In The Name of the Tsar is now slated for a September release. Titled Madden NFL 18 Longshot, the game will incorporate a new, cinematic story mode following the career of high school quarterback Devin Wade.
More importantly, there will also be a single-player story campaign, addressing the other major issue of the original game.
More details about the character were also revealed and it turns out that players will be playing as 3 different characters and each one will have their own unique playstyle. Developed by Josef Fares, creator of the hit indie title Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, A Way Out looks to be a development on the same concept with a much bigger budget. It is a game that explores the notion of trust, companionship and facing up to consequences. It's a shame that pretty much everyone involved, including the hosts, looked like they wanted to be elsewhere.
Anthem is Bioware's new IP and we saw a trailer for the game at EA Play 2017.
Inspired by A Tale of Two Brothers, this game created to specifically be played in split-screen two player co-op, A Way Out puts you in the shoes of a pair of inmates (Vincent and Leo) who are attempting to make a break for it. Events happen in real time and total cooperation is necessary if you want to get out. Whether this is an actual development division or a stealth announcement for a game remains to be seen, but keep an eye out for SEED during the conference. The playable demo becomes available in August.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 gameplay was also shown at EA Play 2017, this is one of the most anticipated titles that we were expecting to see at the event. As we've mentioned before, the previous game in the franchise was a little underwhelming. Good thing developers have been taking feedback seriously.
In a reveal that should have Halo 2 fans rejoicing the world over, A Way Out includes split-screen co-op action. Stay tuned for the latest coverage as it comes our way.
This was our EA Play 2017 roundup of everything that was shown at EA Play 2017, hope you found this useful.
