Cowboys LB Damien Wilson arrested on assault charges

Police said they arrested Dallas Cowboys linebacker Damien Wilson for aggravated assault near Toyota Stadium in Frisco Tuesday night.

Wilson was backing into a spot at the Toyota Stadium parking lot when he got into an argument with a group of people, allegedly hit a woman with his vehicle and showed a gun.

"We are looking into the matter to understand the facts", said an National Football League spokesman.

Team spokesman Scott Agulnek said the Cowboys were gathering information and didn't have immediate comment.

He's since been released from custody after posting $20,000 bond.

Wilson is entering his third season with the Cowboys.

Earlier this year, Wilson's Dallas teammate, cornerback Nolan Carroll, was charged with DWI in May. Wilson had 34 tackles as a backup linebacker, playing in every game and starting five.

If there's one thing the Dallas Cowboys are known for, it's players getting suspended and/or arrested.

The 24-year-old made headlines last July when he missed the beginning of training camp after being hit in the eye by a paintball.
