'Jagga Jasoos' collects over Rs 30 crore in opening weekend

A lot is stake in Jagga Jasoos, more for Katrina Kaif than Ranbir Kapoor.

Basu retweeted the "Pink" star's post.

As per the reports, the film had a received Rs. 13.3 crore on the 1 day of the movie release. How would they promote the film without the lead pair's collective support? Notwithstanding, the film has collected positive input from all around the corner especially from kids.

Jagga Jasoos latest Bollywood romantic cum adventure movie released today. Ranbir-Katrina starrer film collected Rs 11 crore net approx. It is directed by Anurag Basu and got more than 1800 screens in India and 610 plus screens overseas.

The film minted Rs 8.57 crore on its opening day in India on Friday, a statement said. Made on an wonderful spending plan of Rs 110 crore, the film should do truly well to recuperate its generation cost. It's an absolutely dizzying experience at times, difficult to keep up with at others, but never less than breathtaking to watch as composer Pritam and lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya fill every inch of their massive canvas with musical filigree to a degree whose complexity is hard to fathom. In the film, Katrina features as a journalist, Shruti Sengupta, who helps Jagga in finding in father's whereabouts.

From the critics to the public, everyone had praised Ranbir's performance from day one and looks like that trend continues... Girish says that the film should collect Rs 35-40 crore from the first weekend, given the high cost and stakes of production.

Anurag Basu's directorial is also being compared to his last film Barfi, given some uncanny similarities in the texture and feel of both the films. The film also stares Saswata Chatterjee, Saurabh Shukla, Sayani Gupta, Kiran Srinivas, Adah Sharma and Denzil Smith.

"Ranbir Kapoor charms as a hero all children should have".
