The latter has seemed the more likely scenario for a while, and now it's been all but confirmed by Samsung: The next entry in the Note line will be revealed at an Unpacked event in NY on August 23. In fact we know have an exact date on when it will arrive - August 23.
With the tagline, "Do bigger things", Samsung's upcoming event is expected to announce the Galaxy Note 8.
Samsung on Friday announced it will introduce "the latest member of the Galaxy family" in New York City on August 23. Apart from upgraded internals, the Galaxy Note 8 will also include an improved S-Pen with a number of new features such as the ability to pin handwritten notes to the Always-on display.
It also comes about one month before Samsung is widely expected to announce its latest iteration of the Galaxy Note smartphone after the discontinuation of its fire-prone Galaxy Note 7 phone previous year.
You can watch watch the Galaxy Note 8 launch live, with Samsung confirming that it will be hosting live video. This is quite a shame for AT&T for not providing a functionality that is available on the unlocked variants of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus devices since a month now.
There have already been lots of leaks regarding the Note 8. A tweet posted by tipster @Ice universe earlier revealed the Galaxy Note 8 wrapped in a protective case and clearly showing off its dual cameras. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 could be the largest smartphone that the company has ever made, and reports hint at a huge 6.3-inch QHD sAMOLED screen. The S pen may come with an embedded speaker. Of course, for true Android or iOS fans, this won't make a difference. Also, it could have a smaller price tag than the iPhone 8, which will reportedly cost around $1,100.
It is estimated that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will cost around $900.
