Miami Dolphins Quarterback Ryan Tannehill leaves practice after suffering apparent leg injury

According to Josina Anderson, after Ryan Tannehill was injured during practice on Thursday, the Dolphins front office brought up Kaepernick as possible insurance to replace Tannehill. The sixth-year quarterback was already wearing a brace on the knee. Tannehill was on the road to recovery and looked to be healthy again after missing multiple games last season due to a knee injury.

Backup Matt Moore, who took over first-team reps on Thursday, posted a 2-2 mark last season in place of Tannehill. It's hard to say at this point because we don't know how soon Tannehill will be back on the field.

Dolphins' offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen said he doesn't know the extent of the injury but hopes it isn't serious, tweets Walker.

Miami has had a hard week with key injuries, with starting running back Jay Ajayi now in the concussion protocol.

The hits just keep on coming for the Miami Dolphins during training camp.

Last season in a game against the Arizona Cardinals, Tannehill suffered an ACL and MCL injury and decided not to have surgery, instead deciding to have stem cell treatment.
