New York Mets left fielder Yoenis Cespedes learned this on Wednesday when Judge launched a home run so deep that it wasn't worth Cespedes' energy to pretend to chase it.
The last time Judge did not strike out was prior to the All-Star Game, on July 7 against the Milwaukee Brewers.
That's a new single-season record.
"I was told (in an interview) before the game that I think I tied the record, and I think you just informed me that I broke that", he said during his post-game media session.
Judge struck out in the ninth inning, giving him a strikeout in 33 straight games, breaking the single-season mark set by Adam Dunn in 2012.
Judge began the streak July 8.
Despite the strikeout record, Yankees manager Joe Girardi had good things to say about Judge's progress at the plate, according to Bleacher Report.
However, during the same game, Judge set a major league record for straight games with at least one strikeout by a non-pitcher.
Judge has had a rough second half of the season, as he now is hitting.175 with 49 strikeouts since the Midsummer Classic. This could be the home-run that breaks the curse, if you believe it.
Aaron Judge and the rest of the Yankees take the field against the Toronto Blue Jays in May 2017.
