The wait is over, Swifties - Taylor Swift has announced pertinent details of her new album.
Swift's new album will come three years after her last album, "1989", according to Billboard. It's unlikely that she would wear a piece designed by Kanye West, considering the two had a falling out past year after Kim Kardashian posted recordings of a conversation between her husband and Swift over the "I made that bitch famous" lyrics in the song "Famous".
After days of dropping a series of slithering clues, the Taylor Swift surprise machine has struck again.
The first single from the new album will drop on Thursday (August 24, 2017). On Monday, the singer dropped her first teaser on the day of the total solar eclipse, the one time that our attention was diverted away from our phones and computer screens.
The album cover for "Reputation".
I'm still holding onto my firm belief that either her next release or the one after will be a back to basics country album named Nashville.
Her last album, 1989, sold more than one million copies in the United Kingdom and six million in the US.
Her clashes with the likes of Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry and ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris led her detractors to post the image on her accounts en-masse - implying that she's not to be trusted.
"She's aiming to release an album this fall", a source told Us Weekly magazine in May. She has not released any new music since a year ago, when she teamed up with Zayn Malik for the single "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" for the "Fifty Shades Darker" movie. The singer's last project, 1989, was released in October 2014.
