One new rumor specifies the chipset of Mi Mix 2 is to be the Snapdragon 836 SoC, yet-to-be announced. According to the company's CEO, Lei Jun, the device has entered mass production recently. The handset could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 processor, which is a huge step up from the Mi Mix's Snapdragon 821 chipset. We'll get to know for sure on September 11 when it is officially unveiled.

Spotted by telecomtalk.info, the leaked screenshot reveals that the Mi MIX 2 might run on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. There might be a smaller 16MP secondary sensor in the Mix 2. Apart from that, there are quite a few images of the promo campaign for the Mi MIX 2 in China. There's been a lot of questions regarding the location of the front-facing camera for the Mi Mix 2 since early leaks suggested that the device won't have any room for it. The Mix 2 is expected to pack up to 8GB of RAM. Of course, none of this information was confirmed by the company.
Those who like massive batteries in their smartphones will appreciate the Mi Mix 2 is it's believed to feature a 4,400mAh battery. There will reportedly be two options for in-built storage: 128GB and 256GB.
The bezel-less concept of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 was also seemingly confirmed by a teaser photo posted by Xiaomi's managing director based in India. The device will offer dual rear camera setup with portrait mode and X2 optical zoom.
And while both Apple and Essential have previously proved unable to proffer a fully all-encompassing display with their flagships, Xiaomi looks set to conduct a valiant effort in this field.
