Nintendo's half-arsed online cripples Federation Internationale de Football Association 18 on Switch

Federation Internationale de Football Association 18 Nintendo Switch Edition won't be everybody's first choice Federation Internationale de Football Association, and it's by no means the definitive version.

Once you've done that, the team will send you confirmation and direct you to your nearest shop where you can pick up your copy of the most in-demand football game around.

Check it out live here, via YouTube, at 8 pm PT / 11 pm ET.

Your FIFA, Your Way: With a variety of controller and display configurations available (including split Joy-Con support), FIFA 18 offers a responsive and engaging gaming experience - no matter how you play.

One of the novelties of this Switch version is the option to control the game with a single Joy-Con.

The Nintendo Switch version may not look as pretty as the PS4 and Xbox One editions, and thanks to a lack of Journey mode, there's also less to do.

In its launch spot for soccer videogame "FIFA 18", EA Sports takes a new "skill move" created for Ronaldo in the game and spins it into a worldwide cultural phenomenon. In addition, you can't play online with your friends, reports Eurogamer. The first Squad Battle of the season featured a specially chosen team by Antoine Griezmann, with the gamer taking on his 99-rated version alongside Thierry Henry.

As for FIFA Ultimate Team Mode, it is essentially version 17 with the interface of 18. It would have taken more time, more money, and more man-hours. The biggest omission is the Journey, a story following the career of footballer Alex Hunter framed by all the bells and whistles of mainstream football coverage.

Much like FIFA 16 and FIFA 17 it seems that Amazon India has not brought FIFA 18 in on time.

On the plus side, FIFA Ultimate Team is present and as moreish as ever, even without some of the Xbox One and PS4 refinements.

Career mode has felt the same for a few years now but it has received an overdue facelift this year with the Frostbite engine springing into action for new cutscenes that come into play during transfer negotiations.
