Now that Halloween is behind us, some parents may wonder what they should do with their kids leftover candy.

All the candy brought to Kool Smiles will be sent in care packages to USA troops overseas who can't be home for the holidays.

Treats for Troops' collection program includes local businesses, such as a dental office.

Now that you have all the candy your heart could desire, you might want to think about sharing some of it. Upstate dentists are asking you to donate some of your candy so they can send it overseas to those serving our country.

Any child that brings at least 25 pieces of candy will get a toy.

Last year, the Greenville area donated more than 180 pounds of candy to send to troops.

Organizers call this "Operation Troop Treats" and it encourages children to bring Halloween candy in exchange for something fun.

Angela Becker Orthodontics will hold its 13th annual candy buy-back at its two locations, at 4638 W. Jefferson Blvd.in Fort Wayne and 2818 Theater Ave.in Huntington.

Kool Smiles will accept candy during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.to 6 p.m.
