Houston QB Deshaun Watson out for the season

An MRI on the knee confirmed the full extent of the injury, Rapoport reported.

The Houston Texans are just 3-4, but their brilliant rookie quarterback was a reason to think they had a fine chance to run down the 4-3 Tennessee Titans and the 4-3 Jacksonville Jaguars to claim a third straight division crown.

Watson previously tore his ACL during his freshman season at Clemson.

Watson's injury came on the same day that the division rival Colts chose to place franchise QB Andrew Luck on injured reserve, ending his season. He can at least look toward 2018 as a chance to build off what was an eye-opening rookie season. Then he suffered an injury during the Georgia Tech game.

He was off to a record-breaking start to his National Football League career in 2017, throwing for 1,699 yards and 19 touchdowns through his first seven games. He's only completed 58.1 percent of his passes along with six touchdowns, eight touchdowns and a quarterback rating of 72.8 during his career.

"All he did after the injury in 2014 was come back and lead us to the national championship game twice and of course we won it previous year".

"This is so similar to the 2014 season, his freshman year at Clemson". The 19 touchdowns are a record for a player in his first seven games, and he has two rushing touchdowns in addition to that total.

Watson threw for over 400 yards and four touchdowns; he did have three interceptions, though one came on a late desperation heave as he was trying to get his team one last score. I have not doubt he will come back from this.
