Millie Bobby Brown cast as Sherlock's sister Enola Holmes in film series

While her much older brothers dismiss their little sibling, Enola proves to be a capable detective in her own right: in Missing Marquess, she follows clues to find her mom, who has vanished.

Deadline broke the story that Legendary Entertainment has signed Brown to star in and produce a new film series based upon Nancy Springer's Enola Holmes novels.

No release date has been announced for The Enola Holmes Mysteries, but you can catch Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven in Netflix's Stranger Things. Legendary was quick to land Brown in "Godzilla: King of Monsters", her first major role following "Stranger Things", and after that, immediately began looking for other projects at the studio for the young actress.

There is now no indication of when filming for The Enola Holmes Mysteries will begin or when the film series is due to hit our screens. After their mother goes missing, Sherlock and Mycroft insist that Enola enroll in a stuffy Victorian boarding school. Springer's books also borrow several characters from Arthur Conan Doyle's original novels, and even have Sherlock himself trying to track Enola down. We can't wait to see what she lines up next!
