Google working on expiring emails for Gmail

Now it is going for a revamp to include new and improved features and for a quick interface, reply and support options. The Android and iOS clients both use Material Design, but the web client's interface hasn't been updated for years. As per some reports from the web, it seems like that Google is also working on a Confidential Mode which is said to bring the self-destructing emails along with some other privacy-focused changes.

Google is reportedly working on an all-new design and feature set for the web version of its email service Gmail.

Google has kept in mind all of its users and developed the Confidential Mode in a backward compatible way, which means that users of the earlier version of Gmail will also be able to receive the messages in Confidential Mode via a link.

According to a source who talked to TechCrunch, Gmail's new "confidential mode" lets users create self-expiring emails that disappear after a specific amount of time. This "confidential mode" should prevent people from forwarding, printing or downloading the e-mail and may also allow senders to require recipients to verify their identity with a personal identification number.

"With Talk to Books, we provide an entirely new way to explore books". The recipient had to log into their Google account once again to view the content.

"We work hard to comply with the right to be forgotten, but we take great care not to remove search results that are in the public interest", Google said in a statement. Users will be able to select a date when the email will expire, after which the receiver will no longer be able to see the email. This feature which is gaining attention from all the big tech giants hasn't been left out by the Gmail team and is possibly ready to be pushed ahead to the users. On the other hand, Google generates an email with a link in Gmail's current implementation. Enter your email to be subscribed to our newsletter.
